Iowa State University is seeking a contractor to upgrade the Pearson 4.16kV Substation to increase electrical capacity and reliability. The work includes demolishing the existing switchgear and medium-voltage cabling; purchasing and installing new switchgear and cable; commissioning and testing the newly installed equipment; and providing high-voltage electrician support for terminations at the new gear and existing switches. The solicitation identifies a $285,900 cost estimate, a 10% TSB goal, and substantial completion by August 6, 2027. A prebid meeting is scheduled for October 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM via Microsoft Teams, with a substation tour at 1:00 PM; the bid opening is online.
