The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York is soliciting multiple prime contracts for the replacement of two existing boilers in Buildings 16 and 17 at Hutchings Psychiatric Center, including associated piping, wiring, equipment, and hazardous materials abatement. Separate scopes include mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work. The plumbing scope includes a new water heater and expansion tank, thermostatic mixing valve, RPZ backflow preventer, copper piping connections, insulation, and required firestopping. Estimated construction costs are $1.7 million–$1.9 million for mechanical work, $130,000–$150,000 for electrical work, and $200,000–$220,000 for plumbing work. Bidders must have at least five years of similar experience and provide five comparable contracts completed or substantially completed within the past ten years.
