The project involves removing existing roofing materials and installing a new thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing system at Buildings 6 and 11 of Hutchings Psychiatric Center. The general construction contract includes temporary facility controls, site preparation, selective demolition, new roofing-system materials and installation, and asbestos and hazardous-material abatement. The estimated construction cost is $1,750,000 to $2,250,000. Bidders must have at least five years of experience in similar work and provide five contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity completed or substantially completed within the past ten years on the Minimum Qualifications Form. Contract security, EEO/AA insurance, and a New York State Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire are required as detailed in the contract documents. The solicitation also establishes participation goals of 6% for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses, 18% for Minority-Owned Businesses, and 12% for Women-Owned Businesses.
