Description
The City of Wheaton is soliciting a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, testing, coordination, and incidentals required for an art wall improvement project. The work includes installing a concrete footing and column with reinforcing steel, cast-in-place anchors, concrete testing, and related weather protection; removing, storing, and reinstalling existing plaza pavers; protecting trees and adjacent site improvements; maintaining site access, traffic control, site security, and a concrete washout area; providing a portable toilet; and completing restoration, sweeping, and cleanup. The project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The contractor must complete all work, including paver restoration, by December 18, 2026. A 10% bid bond is required with the bid; performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount and a 10% maintenance bond are required after award. A current certificate of insurance must be submitted with the bid. The bid package must include the specified cost proposal, deviations, references, vendor certification, vendor information reporting, and W-9 forms.
