Description
The City of Wheaton is soliciting competitive bids for a broad range of water service materials, including ductile iron water main, polyethylene wrap, fire hydrants, resilient wedge gate and tapping valves, valve boxes and adaptors, service fittings, curb stops and boxes, service saddles, stainless-steel repair clamps, pipe couplings, mechanical joint restraint glands, tracer-wire components, galvanic anodes, hydrant repair parts, and water sampling stations. Materials must meet the stated specifications, be produced in North America, be current-year models, and use no-lead brass compliant with the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act. Approved equals may be permitted for specified items, and materials may be shipped to multiple locations in Wheaton, Illinois. Bidders must provide unit pricing for the listed estimated quantities. Unit prices remain fixed for one year after the contract starts, and awards will be made to responsive and responsible bidders offering the lowest unit price for each item; multiple vendors may receive contracts. The submission must include the completed Cost Proposal Form, Notice of Deviations Form, References Form, Vendor Certification Form, Vendor Information Reporting Form, and W-9 Form. The solicitation requires five references from comparable organizations that received the same services within the last five years. A Certificate of Insurance with signed endorsements is required only from the successful vendor.
