Description
The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, temporary shoring, and disposal required to remove and reconstruct the deteriorated brick masonry wall on the left side of the basement stairway. Work includes supporting framing and structural components before demolition, carefully removing and disposing of the existing wall, rebuilding with sound salvaged and/or similar new brick and appropriate mortar, and ensuring the completed wall is plumb, level, properly bonded, connected to the existing structure, and capable of supporting the framing above. The scope also includes repairing adjacent masonry, cleaning the work area, removing construction debris, obtaining required permits, complying with applicable building codes, and notifying the owner of concealed structural conditions requiring work beyond the stated scope.
