Description
Albany County Water Purification District is soliciting bids for cationic, high-molecular-weight, water-soluble liquid Mannich polymer for belt filter press dewatering and flotation thickening. The polymer must be compatible with the District's existing systems, have a viscosity no greater than 27,000 centipoises, include scale-inhibiting properties, and be delivered in tank-truck quantities of approximately 4,000 or 5,000 gallons. Pricing must include freight and all delivery-related charges; deliveries are ordered as needed and generally must occur within 10 business days of a purchase order. The solicitation also includes optional pricing for polymer make-down units at the North and South plants. Each unit must produce a 5% solution and support local and remote operation, including specified control and status signals to the District's belt press PLC. The initial contract term is January 1 through December 31, 2027, with two additional one-year renewals by mutual agreement. Bidders must submit the County's bid and required certification forms, vendor responsibility questionnaire, bidder qualification questionnaire, and any required supporting information. Insurance is required, while bid and performance bonds are not requested.
