Description
The City of Santa Maria is soliciting proposals for a minimum three-month rental, beginning in November 2026, of one complete, trailer-mounted mobile sludge dewatering system for seasonal operation at its wastewater treatment plant. The system must be a fully automated, low-maintenance belt filter press capable of processing anaerobically digested sludge at a minimum feed rate of 300 gallons per minute and producing dewatered cake with at least 20% total solids. Required equipment includes pumps, polymer make-down and injection equipment, filtrate return, a cake conveyor with a minimum 12-foot discharge height, hoses, controls, safety devices, and a weather-protected trailer. The vendor must provide transportation, mobilization, setup, commissioning, laboratory bench testing, approximately two days of on-site operator training, operating and maintenance manuals, spare parts, maintenance, telephone and emergency technical support, repairs, and field service. The proposal must include the completed Proposal Response Form, Cost Proposal, W-9, a standard contract or rental agreement, equipment specifications and condition information, and relevant company references. The City will evaluate technical qualifications, equipment capabilities, support, experience, pricing, rental terms, and compliance.
