Description
The City of Darien is seeking a contractor to provide snow plowing, snow shoveling, sidewalk clearing, and salting/deicing services at City Hall, 1702 Plainfield Road, and the Police Department, 1710 Plainfield Road. The contractor must provide all equipment and labor; the City will provide the salt. Each snow or ice event constitutes a separate payment, and the City reserves the right to terminate any and all services. Services begin after a one-inch snowfall or freezing rain/icing conditions. City Hall sidewalks, stairs, and entrances must be maintained within two hours of a callout and, during ongoing events, every two hours between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Police Department service is required 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with clearing and salting continuing every two hours until the event ends. The quote must remain valid through April 30, 2027.
