Description
The Village of Lombard is soliciting a contractor to provide specialty landscape and annual planting bed maintenance throughout the Village. Work includes daily trash receptacle emptying at the downtown train station; weekly litter and debris removal; biweekly weeding and bed maintenance; spring preparation, mulching, edging, cultivation, and herbicide application; shrub trimming; seasonal cleanup; and maintenance of landscape beds, planters, medians, lift station properties, trail pots, entrance signs, and other listed locations. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, plant material, installation, watering, and disposal services. Annual plantings are required for multiple community events, with specified spring, summer, fall, and holiday plant materials. Employees applying pesticides must hold Illinois commercial pesticide applicator or operator licenses with Rights-of-Way and Ornamental classifications. The bid must include equipment information, three current performance references, a performance-bonding-capability letter, the required bid forms, and the landscape/planting bed spreadsheet. The contract period is January 1 through December 31, 2027, with two optional one-year extensions for 2028 and 2029.
