Description
The City of Wheaton is soliciting competitive bids to furnish and install approximately 5,870 linear feet of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) in existing sanitary and storm sewer mains. The work includes traffic control, sewer cleaning and television inspection, bypass pumping or flow diversion, CIPP installation, sanitary sewer manhole end seals, service lateral reconnection, chemical grouting of approximately 100 sewer main-to-service lateral connections, removal of four protruding taps, and robotic root and protruding tap cutting. Estimated quantities include 110 active service lateral reconnections and pipe rehabilitation in diameters from 6 to 18 inches. Bidders must demonstrate substantial comparable CIPP experience, including at least 150,000 feet installed, 2,000 service lateral reconnections, three years of relevant experience, manufacturer certification, and NASSCO-certified CCTV operators. The bid package requires a 10% bid bond, a current certificate of insurance, manufacturer certifications and product literature, references, qualification and certification forms, a completed cost proposal, and other completed vendor forms. The project schedule states a November 2026 start, substantial completion by December 31, 2026, and final completion by February 19, 2027.
