Description
The City of Muskegon Water Filtration Plant is soliciting written proposals from qualified marine contractors to inspect and clean its water intake system. Work includes removing biological growth, sand, silt, debris, and other deposits from the intake structures, pipeline, chemical feed system, and four shore-well chambers; inspecting the intake crib, bell, pipeline, chemical feed line, support structures, and shore-well valves; and recommending remedial actions. The intake structure is approximately 35 feet deep to its top, and debris from the shore well may be disposed of in another well located within 100 feet. The contractor must provide inspection videos and a written report documenting conditions, work performed, special conditions, and recommended remedial actions. The proposal must include the signed Proposal and Award Page, signed Bid Form, identified subcontractors, and insurance information. The work is a lump-sum procurement and may be submitted electronically or physically.
