Description
Grand Rapids Public Schools is seeking a Construction Manager as Constructor for preconstruction and construction management services associated with renovations and improvements at Union High School, the Union High School Auditorium, Harrison Park Academy, and Campus Elementary. The scope includes cost estimating and budget control, constructability review, value engineering, scheduling and phasing, procurement and bid-package development, subcontractor and vendor coordination, construction supervision, safety and security, quality control, progress reporting, change-order administration, closeout, and warranty support. The projects include building renovations, site improvements, demolition, athletic-field and track improvements, HVAC and controls, roofing, doors and windows, flooring, lighting, fire-alarm and technology upgrades, auditorium improvements, and related school-facility work. The district may award the projects separately or together. The solicitation uses a qualification-based selection process consisting of technical qualifications, interviews, and fee-proposal evaluation. Respondents must submit separate technical and fee packages, including project experience, staffing, methods, references, GRPS forms, contract exceptions, and completed cost workbooks for the project sites.
