Description
The City of Grand Rapids is soliciting bids for the purchase and delivery of a new Class 6 conventional cab-and-chassis truck, minimum 2027 model year or current-year in-production model, with a GVWR between 25,500 and 26,000 pounds. The vehicle must include an 11-foot aluminum mechanic/service body, a hydraulic telescoping service crane with at least 12,000 pounds of close-radius lifting capacity, a hydraulic-driven air compressor, and associated electrical, safety, lighting, storage, and tool equipment. The completed unit must comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and be delivered ready for use. The solicitation also includes on-site, hands-on operator training for up to 20 personnel, delivery of operating and service manuals, warranty coverage, identification of service facilities, and delivery/build-time information. Bidders must complete the provided bid document, cost sheet, questionnaire, exception form, contract page, and applicable litigation statement, and submit descriptive literature, chassis build sheets, body and crane manufacturer specifications, and an itemized unit-cost sheet. Optional bid-discount documentation may be submitted when applicable.
