Description
Grand Rapids Public Schools is seeking a Construction Manager as Constructor for preconstruction and construction management services for renovations at Union High School, the Union High School Auditorium, Harrison Park Academy, and Campus Elementary. The scope includes cost estimating and budget control, constructability reviews, value engineering, scheduling and phasing, bid-package development, subcontractor and vendor coordination, procurement support, construction supervision, safety management, cost control, change-order administration, quality control, closeout, and post-occupancy services. The projects may be awarded separately or together. The solicitation identifies projected total program budgets of approximately $6,983,000 for Union High School, $3,293,000 for the auditorium, $11,641,000 for Harrison Park Academy, and $10,982,000 for Campus Elementary. The construction manager must provide a fee proposal with separate preconstruction and construction fees, staffing and reimbursable-cost workbooks, and hourly rates. Performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the Guaranteed Maximum Price are required. The work is subject to prevailing-wage requirements, local-business participation goals, and specified insurance requirements.
