Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Chicago District is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction quote to safely remove an approximately 20-foot diesel fuel fill tube and install a new sealed connection from an existing 2,000-gallon tank to the road-deck fill point, including a lockable filler neck and cap. The replacement piping must be ASTM A106 Grade B, Schedule 40 seamless carbon steel, with surface preparation and a vinyl paint system conforming to USACE Formula V-766e and UFGS Section 09 97 02. The contractor must also calculate the required venting capacity and install an appropriately sized, brand-approved emergency pressure-relief vent on the existing diesel tank in accordance with NFPA 30, Section 22.7. The work includes all labor, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment, and carries one-year warranties for materials and installation from final Government acceptance. Quotes must be submitted electronically through the PIEE Solicitation Module; SAM.gov and PIEE registration are mandatory.
