Description
Santa Margarita Water District is seeking up to three contractors for as-needed mechanical construction and up to three contractors for pipeline construction. Mechanical work generally includes pump installation, pump-station piping, pump alignment and balancing, performance testing, treatment and filtration equipment, valves, and related water and wastewater facility work. Pipeline work generally includes installing and replacing pipelines in streets, pipe and valve installation and maintenance, excavation, shoring, traffic control, pressure testing, disinfection, steel-pipeline welding, and rehabilitation or replacement of water, recycled-water, and sewer systems. Work will be authorized through individual task orders on a first-response, availability, and District-discretion basis, with no guaranteed workload or allocation to any contractor. The pooled program has a not-to-exceed authorization of $5,000,000 over three years, with a possible three-year extension. Proposers must submit a proposal narrative and completed RFP Exhibit 2, demonstrate at least three comparable completed projects within the past three years, maintain a valid California contractor license and Department of Industrial Relations registration, comply with prevailing-wage requirements, provide labor and equipment rates, identify key personnel and safety information, provide 24/7 emergency contacts, and agree to execute the sample contract without modification. Successful contractors must provide 100% payment and performance bonds and required insurance documentation.
