Description
The Washington State Department of Enterprise Services, acting for Edmonds College, is seeking a contractor to construct an approximately 130-linear-foot soldier pile retaining wall on the south side of the Cedar Warehouse. The wall will vary from approximately 2 to 11 feet in height and will stabilize an existing hillside exhibiting slope instability. The work includes selective demolition, excavation and grading, soldier pile and lagging/shoring installation, concrete and shotcrete work, wall drainage systems, storm drainage connections, pavement restoration, temporary erosion and sediment control, tree and vegetation protection, and site restoration. The project requires construction submittals and quality-control activities, including shoring shop drawings, excavation sequencing, concrete and shotcrete mix designs, structural steel and embedded-item drawings, testing, monitoring, and preconstruction condition surveys. Bidders must provide the required wage-theft-prevention certification, bid guarantee when applicable, bid pricing through the portal, and bidder-responsibility information demonstrating relevant contractor and key-personnel experience. The contract provides 120 calendar days to achieve substantial completion and 15 additional calendar days for final completion. Prevailing wages apply, and voluntary diverse-business participation goals are identified; the diverse-business inclusion plan and apprenticeship requirements are marked not required for this project.
