Description
The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is soliciting bids for the SR 16, Burley Creeks - Remove Fish Barriers project in Kitsap County, Washington. This project is required to comply with a federal permanent injunction (United States et al. vs. Washington, et al. No. C70-9213 Subproceeding No. 01-1) mandating the correction of fish barriers. The work involves excavation of roadway fill and slide debris, installation of a pipe in the drainage trench, backfilling with light loose riprap and quarry spalls, installation of a drainage headwall, construction of a maintenance foot path and vehicle access, hot mix asphalt (HMA) saw cut and seal, HMA paving, and traffic control. The contract includes 40 items and a performance period of 45 working days. The project is classified as Work class 1 (clearing, grubbing, grading, and draining).
