Description
The City of Louisville is soliciting sealed bids from City-prequalified general contractors to furnish and install hot-applied crack sealant on approximately 36,270 linear feet of cracks across various city streets. The revised base bid includes approximately 38,892 pounds of crack sealant and a lump-sum traffic-control item. Work includes crack preparation, compressed-air cleaning, hot-air drying and warming where required, sealant application and smoothing, curing protection, cleanup, and related incidentals. The specified sealant is Deery 102 Sealant or an approved equal meeting ASTM D6690 Type II requirements. Two additional cul-de-sac streets, Quail Court and Sunnyside Circle, were added by Addendum No. 1. The contractor must provide construction-zone traffic control, including signs, barricades, channelizing devices, flaggers, traffic-control supervision, detour and traffic-handling plans, and maintenance of access and safe travel conditions. Bidders must be prequalified by the City, submit the required bid forms and certifications, provide bid security equal to 5 percent of the total bid price, and perform at least 50 percent of the total contract cost with their own organization. The revised bid deadline is September 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time. The work must be substantially completed within 40 contract days from commencement of contract time.
