Description
The City of Rockford is soliciting a single-prime contractor to complete Phase II renovations at the Rockford Family Peace Center. The work includes selective demolition and renovation of existing interior spaces, new partitions and gypsum board, doors and frames, security windows, bullet-resistant panels, casework, countertops, flooring, ceilings, painting, signage, toilet accessories, and fire-protection cabinets and extinguishers. The project also includes mechanical, plumbing, fire-suppression, electrical, communications, and electronic safety and security work. Major systems work includes HVAC equipment and controls, boilers, pumps, rooftop units, exhaust and cabinet unit heaters, domestic water and sanitary piping, fire-alarm replacement, new electrical service and distribution equipment, lighting, emergency lighting, communications cabling and racks, access control, cameras, and related infrastructure. The bid package requires completion of the City’s listed forms, including equal-employment-opportunity, subcontractor, workforce, prevailing-wage, apprenticeship, stormwater, addendum, and tax forms. The bidder must provide a five-percent bid bond, and the awarded contractor must provide performance and payment bonds equal to the contract amount when required by the specifications.
