Description
The City of Rockford is soliciting a vendor to provide comprehensive grounds maintenance at City water facilities and fire department sites. The scope includes weekly mowing, edging, trimming, weed removal, spring and fall cleanup, leaf and debris removal, mulching, hedge trimming, general landscaping, and maintenance of ground-cover areas. The vendor must furnish all labor, commercial-grade equipment, tools, materials, fuel, and supplies; submit equipment and personnel information; and provide weekly mowing schedules. Chemical sprays are prohibited at water production sites. The initial contract term is one year from the date of award, with up to four additional one-year extensions by mutual written consent. The bid requires documented experience, three professional references, a mandatory pre-bid meeting, and completion of the bid form and required City forms. Insurance requirements include commercial general liability, umbrella liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and related certificates and endorsements.
