Description
Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside (SAM) is soliciting proposals for a solar photovoltaic system and battery storage/microgrid solution to reduce energy costs and improve reliability. The project will be funded through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and is expected to replace an aged emergency backup generator. SAM consumes over 1.25 million kWh annually and spends over $300,000 per year on energy. The project must be completed by July 3, 2026, to qualify for Investment Tax Credits. The selected vendor will design, finance, and install the system, with performance guarantees.
