Description
Paradise Township Sewer Authority is soliciting bids for the removal, hauling, and legally compliant disposal of liquid sludge from its wastewater treatment facility. The estimated quantity is approximately 2,160,000 gallons annually, with removal scheduled as directed by the Authority and generally required within 24 hours of notification. The contractor must provide tanker truck or trailer equipment, pumps, hoses, quick couplings, spill-control measures, and primary and secondary disposal sites certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. The work also includes pumping and cleaning the Main and Keim Pump Stations approximately four times annually, including hauling and disposal of their contents, and cleaning individual wastewater treatment plant tanks. Tank cleaning includes removal and disposal of wastewater, sludge, solids, grit, grease, and debris; pressure washing; removal of wash water; and restoration of the work area. The contractor must provide hi-vac and high-pressure jetting capabilities, comply with applicable Pennsylvania and federal regulations, and perform at least 50 percent of the work with its own forces. The contract begins upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed for one year, with the Authority having discretion to extend it annually for up to three additional years.
