Description
This design-build project involves reconfiguring the Vallejo Ferry Terminal through in-water demolition and construction, removal of the existing gangway, passenger float, dolphins, piles, utilities, and related structures, and construction of a new approximately 330-foot approach, gangways, pile-supported dolphins, concrete caps, security gates, canopies, and a new passenger float arrangement. The contractor must maintain ferry service during construction by installing and later removing a temporary boarding facility, relocating and integrating the WETA Standard Float, and coordinating inspections and transfers between temporary and permanent locations. The scope also includes final design and engineering, marine demolition, pile installation and removal, structural steel and aluminum work, concrete, fender systems, electrical and telecommunications systems, potable water, sanitary sewer, fire-suppression standpipes, lighting, CCTV, access control, navigation lights, permitting coordination, environmental compliance, testing, commissioning, and closeout documentation. The engineer's estimate is $9,724,400. Required proposal components are a Technical Proposal and a Price Proposal, with the Price Proposal submitted using the provided forms.
