Description
The City of Idaho Falls is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate two existing 275,000-gallon, dome-roofed, prestressed concrete potable water tanks at separate well sites. The work includes mobilization, high-pressure interior cleaning, surface preparation, elastomeric polyurethane coating of interior walls and floor-to-wall joints, cementitious coating of the concrete domes, pipe coating, crack repairs, concrete and reinforcement rehabilitation, and disinfection in accordance with AWWA C652. The project also includes removal and replacement of the Well 12 interior access ladder with a fiberglass ladder and fall-prevention device, engineering drawings for the replacement ladder, disposal of sediment and wash water, and related submittals. The contractor must hold an Idaho public works contractor license, self-perform the proposed work, provide required insurance, and furnish 100% performance and payment bonds before contract execution. The bid package includes drawings for both tanks and a bid evaluation schedule with eight bid items.
