Description

IDEA Public Schools is soliciting proposals for a unified, cloud-native Firewall as a Service solution for its Texas charter schools. The scope includes 87,257 estimated three-year instructional licenses, implementation, configuration, licensing, support, maintenance, monitoring, reporting, and related services. Equivalent solutions are permitted, but proposed solutions must meet or exceed the specified functionality and clearly separate E-Rate-eligible and ineligible costs. The solution must support a Zero Trust Architecture aligned with NIST Special Publication 800-207 or an equivalent framework, identity- and device-aware policy enforcement, centralized policy management, advanced threat prevention, secure web and DNS filtering, application visibility and control, secure Internet access, cloud access security broker integrations, private network access through tunnels or SD-WAN, and integrations including Microsoft Purview DLP, sensitivity labeling, classroom management, and browser isolation. Minimum service commitments include 99.99% monthly availability, 24x7x365 critical-incident support, defined severity response times, advance maintenance notification, service credits, escalation procedures, and performance reporting. The initial term is three years with two optional one-year renewals. The addendum confirms that all pricing line items must be supplied, manufacturer- or implementation-partner-led implementation and 24x7 support are permitted while the respondent remains the prime contractor and SPI-billing service provider, and manufacturer or partner references are supplemental only; the respondent's own past performance must satisfy the reference requirement.
