Description
The University of Toledo is soliciting a general contractor for minor alterations to an existing PET/CT suite at the Dana Center on the University of Toledo Medical Center campus. The approximately 1,340-square-foot renovation supports replacement of major diagnostic equipment and includes selective demolition, floor and wall repairs, lead-lined wall construction, radiation shielding, finish refresh, wall protection, ceilings, doors and hardware, and related architectural work. The scope also includes contractor-furnished support systems and connections for owner-furnished PET/CT equipment, including structural supports and anchoring, HVAC modifications, electrical power and controls, communications provisions, fire protection and firestopping, infection-control barriers, interim life-safety measures, and coordination with the equipment manufacturer's installation requirements. The estimated general-contract cost is $200,000. The project has a 5% EDGE-certified business participation goal, requires prevailing wages and domestic steel where applicable, and requires electronic bidding with a bid guaranty.
