Description
The City seeks a full-service certified independent testing laboratory to provide construction materials inspection and testing for its projects. Field work may include testing soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, masonry, structural steel, deep foundations, floor flatness, and fireproofing. Laboratory work may include testing soil and aggregate, concrete and masonry specimens, asphalt mixtures and cores, and related materials. Services also include scheduling, site coordination, specimen collection and handling, timely written test reports, and prompt notification of results that do not meet project requirements. When specifically authorized, the contractor may also provide project management, technical consultation, engineering review, and certified reports or quality-control plans. The proposal must include per-item pricing using the provided price sheet, along with the requested qualifications, technical approach, references, certifications, and disclosures. The City may award multiple contracts. Projects with federal or state funding may require Ohio Department of Transportation prequalification.
