Description
California State University, Chico seeks one or more firms to provide construction materials testing and special inspection services on an as-needed basis through a non-exclusive Task Order Service Agreement. Work may include certified special inspectors and field technicians, daily inspection reporting, laboratory and field quality-control testing, and testing of materials such as concrete, soil, structural steel, masonry, fireproofing, and welding in accordance with applicable California Building Code and contract-document requirements. No minimum amount of work is guaranteed; services and schedules will be established through individual task orders. The proposal must include a standard fee schedule, firm or individual experience and staffing information (including resumes of principals and key staff), the construction cost of the largest project inspected or supported with testing, sample inspection or testing reports for a relevant project, average construction costs for projects supported over the past three years, and experience with higher-education institutions, particularly the California State University system. The agreement has an initial two-year term and two additional two-year renewal options.
