Description
The Washington State Department of Corrections is conducting a Request for Information to identify providers capable of delivering gender dysphoria services to incarcerated individuals. The anticipated scope includes expert clinical consultation to Department staff; evaluations of medical necessity and readiness for gender-affirming surgery; review of healthcare records; interviews by telephone or secure video conference; comprehensive written reports; administrative support; and deposition or courtroom testimony when requested. Providers are also expected to offer monthly one-hour training to DOC psychologists on gender dysphoria management and surgical-readiness assessments. The RFI requests information about provider qualifications, Washington psychology licensure, relevant experience, professional affiliations, continuing-education compliance, business profile, availability and capacity for an anticipated 25–50 individuals annually, and pricing. This is an information-gathering exercise rather than a competitive solicitation and does not obligate the Department to contract.
