Description
The Borough of Milford is soliciting bids for the collection, transportation, and disposal of sludge cake generated by its wastewater treatment plant. The contractor must deliver and pick up PVC-lined, watertight 20-yard containers, transport sludge cake containing approximately 9% to 15% solids, and deliver the loaded containers to a licensed receiving facility. Bidders must identify both primary and secondary approved disposal sites; transfer stations are not acceptable disposal sites. The solicitation offers one-year, three-year, and five-year contract alternatives at the owner's option, based on an estimated 440 tons of sludge cake per year. Bids must use the standard proposal forms and include a non-collusion affidavit and bid bond or certified check meeting the stated limits.
