Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, is conducting a sources-sought inquiry for maintenance dredging of the Corpus Christi Ship Channel Entrance Channel, from stations -33+000 to 7+000. The anticipated work will use a trailing suction hopper dredge, with dredged material placed in an offshore open-water placement area and, as an option, on San Jose Island within a USACE easement. Condition surveys will determine the channel segments requiring dredging. This is an information-gathering notice only and will not result in a contract award. Respondents should describe relevant experience and technical capability, including hopper dredging of deep-draft navigation channels, pipeline dredging, construction of civil containment structures, production rates, at least three comparable projects completed within the past five years, and bonding capacity. The anticipated future construction project is estimated at $10,000,000 to $25,000,000, with a 180-calendar-day performance period. The response must also include UEI and CAGE information, firm details, socioeconomic status, and any joint venture, mentor-protégé, or teaming information.
