Description
Gregory-Portland Independent School District is soliciting proposals for water treatment services at designated district facilities. The contractor must service cooling tower-condenser systems twice monthly and provide a chemical treatment program addressing scale, corrosion, bacteria, algae, microbiological slime, and other biofouling organisms. The program must include scale and corrosion inhibitors, non-oxidizing and oxidizing biocides, and a closed-loop inhibitor for hot and chilled water systems. Supplying and changing filters is also required. Each service month requires two reports documenting twice-monthly water sampling and analysis, visual cooling tower inspections, chemical pod operation, chemical feeding rates, and correction of prior-month concerns. If a condenser becomes fouled by calcium carbonate scale during the agreement, the contractor must chemically clean the system at no additional charge. The initial contract term is one year, with up to two additional one-year renewals, for a potential three-year total term. Proposals are evaluated on price, ability to meet district needs, vendor experience and reputation, and response quality.
