Description
The United States Air Force intends to issue a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price order for US3D software licenses to VirtusAero LLC, with an expected period of performance of 12 months, starting on or about June 30, 2026. The software provides tools for analyzing hypersonic aerodynamic and propulsion processes, including thermal and chemical non-equilibrium effects, and is crucial for high-fidelity unsteady simulations and research into scramjet engines performed by AFRL. The specific items include one US3D Cluster Version, single named-user license, and one US3D Cluster Version, 4-seat floating license. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations, but responsible sources may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations within three business days of issuance. The government will consider these responses to determine if a full and open competitive procurement or a small business set-aside competitive procurement is warranted. Information submitted will not be paid for. If the requirement is competed, a synopsis will be issued, and if it becomes a Small Business Set-Aside, the Limitation on Subcontracting clause will apply.
