Description
The City of Rohnert Park is soliciting a contractor to provide and install electric vehicle charging stations at City Hall, the Public Safety Main building, and the Public Works Corporation Yard. The work includes Level 2 charging equipment, electrical service and wiring, trenching, concrete pads and foundations, conduit, equipment anchoring, sidewalk removal and replacement, asphalt patching, parking and accessibility striping, bollards, and related site restoration. The Public Safety location also includes replacement of an existing charger and associated electrical work. The project has an engineer's estimate of $460,000 and requires a California Class A and/or C-10 contractor's license. The successful contractor must begin work within 15 calendar days after the City's notice to proceed and complete the work within 100 calendar days of that notice. A mandatory pre-bid conference is required for prime contractors. Bid, payment, and performance bonds and specified insurance coverage are required. Awarded contractors and subcontractors must complete approved live scan background checks before beginning construction. The solicitation package includes formal front-end specifications, site-specific specifications, and plans for all three locations.
