Description
The City of Fort Scott is soliciting sealed bids for demolition and lot cleaning at 310 N. Cleveland, Fort Scott, Kansas. The scope includes removal of the house, foundation, fence, and all building materials; filling basements and areas beneath structures or accessory structures with compacted compatible soil; furnishing black dirt to create a properly sloped, mowable lot; and seeding the lot for grass growth. The contractor must ensure utilities are disconnected in accordance with City requirements, complete the work within 20 days of bid acceptance, and provide landfill receipts from the Bourbon County Landfill after completion. The solicitation requires contractor liability insurance with limits of $100,000 and $500,000, as well as property insurance covering equipment, hoists, motor vehicles, and hauling operations, plus demolition insurance. Sealed bids are required; emailed bids will not be accepted.
