Description
The City of Cambridge seeks a temporary hot-water boiler lease to heat Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School during the replacement of its in-house boilers. The boiler must provide at least 10,000,000 BTU, or be the largest available unit on a single trailer due to space limitations. The City prefers a dual-fuel unit, but it must be configured for natural gas use. The lease must last at least three months, with a possible extension. The contractor is responsible for delivery, installation, connections and controls to the existing heating infrastructure, permits and inspections, and dismantling and removal. The boiler must be operational within 10 days after contract execution and issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The contractor must provide 24/7 emergency service, respond to troubleshooting and repair requests within 12 hours, and provide safety training for facilities staff. The estimated project value is $75,000.
