Description
The Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission seeks proposals for the design and construction of a machinery shed at its Field Operations Center. The structure will be 30 feet wide, with pricing requested for 60-, 70-, and 80-foot lengths; the Commission will select the final size based on available funding. Requirements include 29-gauge steel siding, roofing, and trim backed by a minimum 40-year warranty; at least #2-grade framing lumber; 2-by-8-inch ground-contact pressure-treated skirt boards; and a rear height between 8 and 10 feet. The contractor will provide all materials, labor, permits, finished design, zoning and planning work, and site preparation, including a level crusher-run floor approximately 6 inches deep with geotextile fabric. The site must be cleaned after construction, and the building must comply with applicable laws, codes, ordinances, and building practices and be located at least 10 feet from the property line. The project must be completed between September 21 and December 15, 2026. Proposals must include pricing for all three building lengths, similar project experience, three detailed references, a reporting-capability statement, and specified business, insurance, workers’ compensation, policy, certification, and licensing documentation. Evaluation is weighted 70% technical ability and 30% total cost.
