Description
The contractor will provide preventative maintenance for emergency generators and related equipment, including automatic transfer switches, at the site. The work includes an initial inspection and equipment assessment, one scheduled maintenance visit per year before October 1, and necessary inspections, testing, cleaning, adjustments, repairs, and part replacements. The contractor must also provide emergency services when requested, respond to emergency calls by phone within 30 minutes, and provide onsite service within a timeframe agreed upon with the property manager. The contractor must maintain a service schedule, submit service reports and work orders, and update the equipment inventory. The bid requires a completed DAPW 35 quotation form in a sealed envelope with an original handwritten signature. The bid form states that work must start within 10 days after the last contract signatory and be completed within 730 calendar days. The instructions require the contractor to perform at least 15% of the work with its own forces. The sample contract includes insurance provisions, but the provided materials do not establish that a certificate of insurance is required with the bid.
