Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contract for comprehensive maintenance, repair, and safety upgrades to two institution-critical elevated water storage tanks at the Federal Correctional Complex Terre Haute. The contractor must provide all required labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals, and must be licensed and qualified to perform the work. The work will be conducted outside the prison fenceline in a non-correctional environment. The solicitation has a magnitude between $500,000 and $1,000,000 and is a 100% small-business set-aside. A bid guarantee is required at 20% of the bid price, not to exceed $3,000,000, and performance and payment bonds of 100% of the original contract price are required within 10 days after award. The response must include the completed SF-1442, pricing schedule, representations and certifications, required past-performance information from at least five references covering work within the last 24 months, and one bank reference. The solicitation also requires applicable insurance, including workers’ compensation and employer’s liability, comprehensive general liability, and automobile liability coverage.
