Description
The District seeks a complete, ready-for-use inclusive playground project at Boone Trail Elementary, including design, commercial-grade equipment, certified installation, site preparation, concrete base, drainage, and related construction. The design should support students with differing abilities and include accessible and sensory play features, appropriate age-use classifications, and a rendered proposal with a dimensioned site plan and equipment details. The equipment must meet applicable accessibility and playground safety standards and carry a minimum 15-year structural warranty. The project also requires an impact-attenuating interlocking rubber tile system with recycled SBR base and EPDM wear layer, compliant with applicable impact-attenuation and wheelchair-accessibility standards. The contractor must provide testing and compliance documentation, drainage and accessible transitions, replacement tiles equal to 10% of the installed area, and project closeout materials. Proposals must include pricing, design and construction approach, schedule, product and installer qualifications, references, warranties, safety and phasing plans, and required compliance documentation. Performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the awarded contract, are required before work begins.
