Description
The District seeks a turnkey replacement inclusive playground for Barfield Early Childhood Center. The scope includes design, commercial-grade playground equipment, removal of existing equipment, certified installation, site coordination, safety measures, testing, and closeout documentation. The project-specific clarification states that the existing newer rubberized play tiles and concrete slab are to be retained and reused, with tiles protected, temporarily stored, and reinstalled; damaged tiles must be repaired or replaced by the contractor. The proposal must include accessible, age-appropriate play features and design materials such as renderings, a dimensioned site plan, equipment information, use zones, fall heights, and installation details. Proposers must provide firm all-inclusive pricing, comparable public-school project references, manufacturer and installer qualifications, proposed subcontractors, project approach and schedule, safety and construction methods, warranty information, product and impact-attenuation test documentation, and compliance information. Performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the awarded contract, are required before work begins.
