Brevard County, through its Housing and Human Services Department, has announced funding availability for the State Housing Initiatives Partnership program for Fiscal Years 2024-2025 and 2025-2026. An estimated $2,648,427 is available for 2024-2025, $2,466,337 for 2025-2026, with an additional $862,888.06 in carry-forward funds. Applications will be accepted from eligible homeowners starting May 29, 2026, through June 30, 2027, for the following programs: Homeownership-Purchase Assistance, Homeownership-Occupied Rehabilitation, Homeownership-Demolition/Reconstruction, and Homeowner-Acquisition Rehabilitation. A Request for Proposals (RFP) will be issued for Homeownership-Acquisition Rehabilitation/New Construction and Rental-Rehabilitation/New Construction. Additionally, funds may be considered for Disaster Repair/Mitigation/Direct Assistance after a disaster, upon expiration of an existing waiting list, or as funds become available.
