Description
The U.S. Navy is seeking potential sources capable of supplying a ligature-resistant sliding door system for behavioral healthcare applications. The system must use concealed overhead tracks, concealed locking hardware, ligature-resistant operating trim, concealed vertical-rod locking or latching mechanisms, and an anti-barricade floor guide. It must support staff override of interior locking functions and configurations for classrooms, storerooms, and self-latching patient rooms, with optional threshold or transom assemblies for reduced door gaps and emergency access. The system must meet or exceed a 150 ft-lb impact test under ANSI A250.13-2014, Section 6.1.1.2, remain functional after impact testing, use dual ball-bearing carriers rated at 1,240 pounds dynamic load capacity each, and comply with ANSI/UL 1784 air-leakage testing where required. Respondents must provide detailed technical data demonstrating compatibility with the existing system; company brochures are not requested. Responses are limited to five one-sided pages, excluding the cover page and table of contents, and must include the completed Company Information attachment.
