Mohawk Medbuy Corporation is conducting a Request for Supplier Qualifications to prequalify general contractors for construction services associated with Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare’s new 192-bed long-term care facility. The anticipated scope includes new construction, renovations, infrastructure work, project management, scheduling, coordination, quality control, health and safety, infection prevention and control, and work in an active hospital environment. Prequalified contractors may also be used for future infrastructure projects through a Vendor of Record list and subsequent competitive second-stage procurements. The submission requires a completed Proposal Submission Form; Ontario WSIB clearance; insurer confirmation of capacity for $10 million general liability, $2 million automobile liability, and $2 million pollution liability; a financial or banking institution letter; a bonding letter confirming capacity for a $70 million project; company and organizational information; relevant company and key-personnel experience; methodology and approach; health and safety and IPAC information; COR or equivalent safety certification evidence; and at least three client references. Up to five firms may be prequalified. The resulting Vendor of Record term is one year, with no guaranteed volume of work; actual project agreements and pricing will be established through later second-stage procurements.
