Description
The University of South Carolina is soliciting a design-bid-build contractor for restoration of the McMaster College building envelope. The base bid includes full removal and replacement of sealants; wet sealing of all glazing; preparation, priming, and painting of steel; replacement of expansion joints and covers; full facade cleaning; EIFS cornice repairs with elastomeric coating; selective masonry repointing; and abatement of minor non-friable asbestos-containing material (ACM). Bidders are directed to the project manual and drawings for the complete requirements. The stated construction cost range is $400,000 to $490,000. One bid copy is required, and bids must be submitted by hand delivery or mail service. A prime contractor license with special standard of responsibility BD5 is identified.
