Description
The City of Columbia is soliciting bids for annual maintenance of sanitary sewer easements throughout its sanitary sewer system. Work includes verifying easement accessibility; mechanical clearing; mowing and brush removal; selective tree removal, chipping, stump excavation and grinding; herbicide application; fence and gate removal or replacement; erosion and sedimentation control; debris removal; and restoration of disturbed lawns, sod, surfaces, and property. The contractor must generally restore easements to at least 10 feet wide and provide documentation of easement conditions and completed work. Bidders must provide qualified South Carolina commercial applicators, including required pesticide certifications and experience, applicable contractor licenses and chemical-transport registration, references for similar projects, financial statements, required appendices, subcontractor information, and a bid bond. The anticipated agreement has an initial three-year term with two additional one-year renewal options. The bid must be submitted online through the City's e-procurement system, with the Bid Form and Business Information Record submitted as separate digital files.
