Description
Lexington County is soliciting a contractor to provide landscaping and grounds-maintenance services for Saxe Gotha Industrial Park through its Economic Development Department. The scope includes mowing designated red maintenance areas and rights-of-way; string trimming around light poles and other obstructions; weeding; litter, limb, and debris removal; tree pruning and shrub trimming; detention-pond maintenance; pest control; fertilizing; grass seeding; mulch-bed maintenance; and leaf and lawn-trimmings maintenance. Along sidewalks, mowing extends three feet beyond the nonstreet side; where sidewalks are absent, the maintenance area extends approximately 15 feet back of curb. The contractor must maintain a clean, presentable, resource-efficient property and protect wetlands, ponds, streams, and water-quality buffers. Tree pruning must follow ANSI A300 standards and accepted arboricultural practices. Trees greater than six inches DBH must be pruned by an ISA Certified Arborist unless the County approves an exception. The contractor must furnish labor, equipment, and materials; provide date- and time-stamped photographs and application records; submit qualifications, references, equipment information, cost information, and an approach to performing the work; and comply with the required forms, insurance, and five-percent proposal bond. Subcontracting is not permitted. Responses must be submitted through the county's e-procurement system in original and redacted versions.
