Description
The University of Wisconsin-Madison is soliciting bids for a partial renovation of the more than 30-year-old irrigation system at the O.J. Noer Turfgrass Research and Education Facility. The work covers the west side of the property and includes a new HDPE mainline and laterals, replacement of existing irrigation infrastructure, commercial-grade Toro sprinklers and quick couplers, isolation and electronic valves, valve boxes, wiring, and Toro Lynx Smart satellite controllers and station cards. Existing controllers must remain functional, and all new components must be compatible with the Toro Lynx central control system. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, delivery, installation, system commissioning, pressure testing, sprinkler adjustment, restoration of disturbed areas, operating and maintenance manuals, and related service capabilities. The specifications require experience installing in-ground golf-course irrigation systems with HDPE piping, manufacturer-authorized sales or service capability, and compliance with detailed site, utility-protection, electrical, sod-restoration, scheduling, and research-operation requirements. Bidders must submit pricing using the itemized bid list, a technical proposal, warranty and service information, delivery and installation timing, and required vendor forms and certifications through the electronic sourcing module.
